Whistle Stop Clay Works – Historic Loveland opens ceramic center

24 June 2010 147 views No Comment

Tim and Kay O’Grady, long time residents of Loveland, are in the midst of living a dream with the anticipated opening of Whistle Stop Clay Works, a ceramics studio and gallery. Tim, having retired in 2006, renewed his passion with clay at his home studio and things just fell into place with the purchase of a 1300 sq ft building in Historic Loveland. Tim and Kay are both members of the Loveland Arts Council and believe firmly that art has a serious impact on lives and the community.Whistle Stop Clay Works

We are partnering with Missy McCormick, a ceramics artist living in Loveland, Ohio. Missy received her BFA from Georgia Southern University before becoming a production potter in the Appalachian Mountains. After receiving her MFA at the University of Florida in 2001, Missy has worked as a professional studio artist and has taught at the university level, K-12, and conducts artists workshops nationally and internationally.

With the addition of Missy as Director of Operations, we feel we have created an ideal setting for learning, relaxation and fun through art for our community.   All classes provide individual attention to your creative exploration in clay.
