Each year in Loveland, we honor a lady who exemplifies the Sweetheart of Ohio and the charm of our little town. The nominations come from you, the public. Please think about the people in your life that would be a good representative for our city and send in the nomination to Jodi. We also honor an artist each year, choosing a Valentines Day design and printing up cards to be sold. The winners from last year are highlighted inside.

The weather was great, not too cold. Valentines Day is often stress filled for many, but we are pretty laid back about it. We really enjoy a great meal and some time to just stop and talk. Saturday the community unveiled their newest treasure, Avery Foster, the 2011 Loveland Valentine Lady! In a short, but wonderful ceremony, The Loveland Chamber and several City of Loveland officials were present to honor Valentine Ladies, both past and present. The position of Loveland Valentine Lady is a time honored position and quite a responsibility for the winner. In addition, the winner of the official Loveland Valentine card design was announced. The crowds gathered January 9, ready to celebrate the official start to the Valentine’s Day season…at least in Loveland. The Loveland Area Chamber of Commerce hosted this special event at Kroger. The day began with the recognition of Valentine Ladies who had served in the past, followed by introduction of those nominated for 2010 and will serve as the Valentine court. Finally, the announcement we’d all been waiting for: the 2010 Loveland Valentine Lady is Bonnie Larson! Bonnie lives in Loveland and is active in her church community, serving on the bereavement committee.
