Wednesday began the season of Lent. Our Catholic brothers and sisters turn to a period of reflection and they abstain from eating meat on Fridays. Abstinence from meat is a form of fasting for Catholics and a way for them to get closer to God. One of the benefits we all get is the abundance of fish offerings in our area. We wanted to let you know where those options are. Keep in mind, these are the ones we have found, but certainly not an exclusive list.
We found 3 different …

Yelp held a “meet the owner” event Friday night from 7-9PM at Cafe 45140. Joe & Tami brought their A game and approximately 50 people came from all over the tri-state. Community Manager Alex Shebar says this was the first event here in Loveland he has attended and he has been managing the Yelp community for a few years now. “We’ve had them in Milford, Mason and West Chester, but not here in Loveland,” said Shebar.

We have a new eatery in Historic Downtown Loveland. Well, we have a newly expanded Cafe, now down the street from last year’s location, renamed as Cafe 45140! Chef’s Tami & Joe will bring a new focus as they are set to bring their combined talents and culinary excitement to the bike trail. Their food is fresh, locally grown and created to highlight their farm-to-table philosophy.
They are continuing many of their favorites from last year’s menu, but will change the menu quite often to give opportunity to a diversity of …

2011 Fall Festival in Loveland
Some of you might remember the Frog Festival. It used to be the thing to do downtown in the fall. Well, Loveland has been the benefactor of Montgomery’s loss. Heartstone Foundation has been putting on a bike tour in Montgomery for years and it seems they came to Loveland this year, hoping to resurrect the Tour de Loveland since their tour was getting a bit big for Montgomery. While in discussions with the City Council, someone decided we should make this a fully engage festival of …

There’s a new place to grab some great food here in Loveland. It’s called The Patio and George & Inshira would like to invite you to to give them a try! It’s Americana with a Tex Mex flair and it’s very tasty. George is new ownership! He sat and talked with us for a while and he understands that this building has been known for bad service and less than stellar food, but he is determined to get the word out that things have changed for the better! We agree!
