Dr.Drake Tollefson and Dr. Daniel Kelley will be holding a “Give Kids A Smile” event Friday March 2nd, 2012 at both locations Loveland & Terrace Park for the third year in a row!!
The program is designed to donate free dental care to the Children who do not recieve state assistance(medicaid) or have dental insurance. Last year Dr.Tollefson and Dr.Kelley donated over $30,000 dollars to the children in need. We are working with the school nurse’s at Loveland Elem, Pattison Elem, and Merimont Elm to locate the children for this years …

2011 Fall Festival in Loveland
Some of you might remember the Frog Festival. It used to be the thing to do downtown in the fall. Well, Loveland has been the benefactor of Montgomery’s loss. Heartstone Foundation has been putting on a bike tour in Montgomery for years and it seems they came to Loveland this year, hoping to resurrect the Tour de Loveland since their tour was getting a bit big for Montgomery. Loveland Cafe on the Trail

The ribs we loved from Liberty City BBQ are no longer available on the trail. A local personal chef has turned the tide on unhealthy, albeit delicious, food and has come ready to impress!
This new cafe in Loveland caters particularly to the healthy folks. Her target market are the bikers, hikers, strollers and roller skaters who take advantage of the Little Miami trail that goes through Loveland. Green Living: Grow your own?

In an effort to encourage families to plant vegetables, flowers and other creative and fun landscape features in their backyards, Granny’s Garden School has established the Family Garden Project. For a donation of $25, enrollees will receive a garden starter kit, which includes a selection of more than 20 varieties of vegetable/flower seeds, discounts on compost, a bucket and coupons for free flower, vegetable and herb plants from area growers and nurseries. Participants can email Granny with gardening questions and will be invited to twice monthly in-the-garden learning activities.

10th Annual Rat Race coming in April

The Rat Race is a very popular Loveland tradition. This year the race celebrates it’s 10th year. It’s a 5k/10k Race/Walk and it’s perfect for the whole family. The proceeds from this race go to two local charities: Cancer-Free Kids and Hospice of Cincinnati and they hope to raise $20K of support.

The Clermont County General Health District, in collaboration with the Goshen Local School District, has received a $25,000 grant to make improvements to the O’Bannon Creek Nature Trail in Goshen Township. Access to the trail is near the Marr Education Center at Cook Farm, located southeast of the High School on Goshen Road; the grant will enable a handicapped portion of the trail to be constructed.
