The Running Spot is offering a motivational program to get you up, out and in shape! They’ll take you from a couch potato to a 5K runner. Make sure to sign up! The sessions start October 15th.

Granny’s Garden School is the largest and most established school garden program in the United States and it turns 10 this year! The school will be celebrating at Loveland Elementary this Sunday, September 23.

The American Farmland Trust has been running a contest to see which Farmers’ Markets are the most popular across the USA. The voting has just been verified and Loveland was the number one Farmers’ Market in Ohio, even above Findlay Market. Now the contest was not terribly scientific, and our of course is smaller than Findlay, but we have an awesome group of farms and vendors that bring Loveland residents delicious, wholesome, fresh fruits and vegetables every week. Chef Todd Hudson, owner of Wildflower Cafe & Coffee House in Mason will be a guest chef for Sunday Brunch August 4th. Hudson has built a very successful restaurant in the last 4 years. Yelp held a “meet the owner” event Friday night from 7-9PM at Cafe 45140. Joe & Tami brought their A game and approximately 50 people came from all over the tri-state. Community Manager Alex Shebar says this was the first event here in Loveland he has attended and he has been managing the Yelp community for a few years now. “We’ve had them in Milford, Mason and West Chester, but not here in Loveland,” said Shebar.

Dr. Drake Tollefson and Dr. Daniel Kelley will be holding a “Give Kids A Smile” event Friday March 2nd, 2012 at both locations Loveland & Terrace Park for the third year in a row!!
The program is designed to donate free dental care to the children who do not receive state assistance (medicaid) or have dental insurance. Last year Dr. Tollefson and Dr. Kelley donated over $30,000 dollars to the children in need.
