Once again, Martin, Doug and Kathy showed they can put on a party event! The over 400 participants in the race this year showed their gritty dedication as they ventured out on what turned out to be a perfect night for scavenging. The teams of four were sent out all over downtown Loveland with a list of questions to answer and objects and images to find and identify. It was really fun to watch them in action, particularly as they tried to bob for apples in the fountain without ending …

The Halloween Festivities continued after the teams came back in, submitting all their materials for the judges to pour through. Team Captains stayed behind, while teammates got an early start on the rest of the night! All 5 pubs in town were part of a progressive pub crawl, each highlighting a special brew. The pubs, Cindy’s, Paxton’s, Julian’s, Tano’s and the Works are all part of the halloween celebration, and the employess took part by coming in costume. 2011 Fall Festival in Loveland
Some of you might remember the Frog Festival. It used to be the thing to do downtown in the fall. Well, Loveland has been the benefactor of Montgomery’s loss. Heartstone Foundation has been putting on a bike tour in Montgomery for years and it seems they came to Loveland this year, hoping to resurrect the Tour de Loveland since their tour was getting a bit big for Montgomery. The City of Loveland would like to announce that the Public Works Department will be painting roadway pavement markings overnight beginning the week of July 25, 2011 starting at approximately 10:30 PM. Whistle Stop Clay Works is now accepting registrations for Summer Clay Camps.
Co-owner Kay Bolin O’Grady says “clay is an exciting and magical material. Children ages 8 – 13 will have the opportunity to learn the art and craft of clay while having fun and exploring their creativity!”
“We offer patient encouragement and personal guidance”. Classes are small, with a maximum of 12 students per class. Students receive both group and individual instruction at their own level.

Show your patriotism and support to our troops serving today and those who served in the past by attending or participating in the parade.
The parade will begin at 9:00 a.m. at the Loveland Elementary School, 600 Loveland Madeira Road, Loveland, Ohio. Immediately following the parade, a ceremony will be held at the Veterans’ Loveland Memorial, located on West Loveland Avenue at the corner of Riverside Drive.

The City of Loveland’s 2011 Great American Cleanup day will be held on Saturday, April 16th, starting at 9 a.m. at the LMI Scenic River & Trail Center, 211 Railroad Avenue next to Nisbet Park in historic downtown Loveland. Little Miami, Inc.(LMI) is a local river conservation organization dedicated to the protection of Ohio’s first designated State and National Wild & Scenic River that runs through our downtown. The Little Miami was designated forty-two years ago in 1969.
