The American Farmland Trust has been running a contest to see which Farmers’ Markets are the most popular across the USA. The voting has just been verified and Loveland was the number one Farmers’ Market in Ohio, even above Findlay Market. Now the contest was not terribly scientific, and our of course is smaller than Findlay, but we have an awesome group of farms and vendors that bring Loveland residents delicious, wholesome, fresh fruits and vegetables every week. The City of Loveland has been awarded the 2011 Certificate of Distinction from the International City/County Management Association (ICMA) for its efforts to measure and improve local government performance, as well as Loveland‟s commitment to integrating performance measurement into city services. This is Loveland‟s second consecutive Certificate of Distinction and its third performance measurement award from ICMA.

On May 19, members of the Loveland Area Chamber of Commerce gathered for the Annual Awards Dinner! A crowd of over 160 people came together at Oasis Conference Center to enjoy a delicious meal and listen to Ellen van der Horst, President of the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber speak about the importance of Regional Collaboration. In 2010, Loveland residents recycled 1,180.5 tons of metal, glass, paper, and plastic, an increase of 141 more tons than in 2009. Loveland residents recycled 19.98% of their total waste stream in 2010, up from 16.85% in 2009.
The City of Loveland’s 2010 Management Intern, Ana Downes, earned high praise from City officials for creating and executing the “Go Green. Stay Clean.” marketing campaign.

The Northeast Fire Collaborative (NEFC) received the prestigious award for intergovernmental cooperation from the Ohio City/County Management Association (OCMA) at their annual Conference held in Columbus on February 24, 2011.
This OCMA award recognizes governmental agencies that work together to successfully address problems or improve service to the community. The communities of Blue Ash, Loveland, Sharonville, Sycamore Township and Symmes Township formed the Northeast Fire Collaborative in 2008 and Mason joined it in 2009.
