We couldn’t have asked for a better Sunday afternoon than the one we got for the 14th annual Loveland Art Show. It seemed like quite a crowd too. I love seeing all the people as they meander through the shops and along the bike trail. It makes Loveland feel more and more like home.

Young and old gathered at Whistle Stop Clay Works on July 15 at 5pm for the Grand Opening/Ribbon Cutting ceremony. Hosts Kay and Tim Bolin and Missie McCormick mingled and chatted with their guests until the ribbon was ready to be cut. At the appointed time, guests were called to gather around the big sign for the cutting and pictures (and video, of course). As the honored guests were stretching the ribbon and opening the scissors, at the last second, pieces of pottery that had been on display were handed …

Tim and Kay O’Grady, long time residents of Loveland, are in the midst of living a dream with the anticipated opening of Whistle Stop Clay Works, a ceramics studio and gallery. Tim, having retired in 2006, renewed his passion with clay at his home studio and things just fell into place with the purchase of a 1300 sq ft building in Historic Loveland. Tim and Kay are both members of the Loveland Arts Council and believe firmly that art has a serious impact on lives and the community.

Ah, it’s a warm, muggy day in Downtown Loveland Ohio. However, I’ll take it! It has been quite cloudy and we’ve been busy working on a website! So, this was the first day we had a chance to get out. Today, the downtown area was filled with music. Different kinds, different places, but it was all quite good.
We just caught the end of The Moxie Blues band, so we cannot say much about them, except we want to make a point of getting to see them next time we …
