El Picante is a casual, clean, family friendly restaurant on Loveland Madeira Road just across from Krogers. Whether you are there to chat with friends or to enjoy a beer and watch some sports, you will enjoy the vibrant atmosphere. This year, they added a covered patio that doubles their space and offers a great dining experience on cool summer nights!

We love the chips and salsa. The chips are hefty enough to hold some salsa, but not so thick as to be hard to eat. We also enjoy their white cheese dip. It’s not particularly hot, but it’s definitely delicious. They have a great variety of Mexican American meals. Most dishes are under $10 and the portions are large. Some of our favorites are the Shrimp,Chicken and Beef Fajitas (#42 on the menu) and the burritos and quesadillas! They also have a kids menu to help parents whose children might be picky eaters. They run daily lunch specials too, always a great value! The full bar delivers your favorite libation, with Happy Hour specials Sunday through Thursday from 2 to 6PM.

The servers are always cheerful and polite. Even the owner, Roberto, takes his turn as server. He always has a smile on his face and likes to see one on yours! During the summer, they have a special tradition on the last Wednesday of every month! Next Wednesday, Mariachi Sol Jalisciense will visit to spice up the night. We have seen them several times, and always have enjoyed their engaging nature and wonderfully talented players.
