Loveland’s Amazing Race, amazing!
Every year, the people come. Every year, the race committee makes new challenges. Even though the race faced a stumbling block in the week before the event, the team again made every racer feel special and important. People come for many reasons, most just want to have fun, but they are all helping people by racing. This year the race filled up all of its slots in just under 20 hours. That is truly amazing! The charities that will receive the funds built from their entry fees will be truly blessed by the efforts of the runners and the 500 volunteers that gave up their Saturday.
One of the beneficiaries that may go unnoticed are the businesses of Loveland. How many meals were eaten before racers left? How many drinks were sold? How many stops at CVS or Walgreens for those last minute items? Over 1200 people descended onto our town because of the efforts of the race team. We at All Around Loveland believe that is an incredible thing that definitely benefits Loveland in immeasurable ways. Even though the city and the race have suddenly arrived at an impasse, we hope that all concerns will be addressed and once again Loveland will be united in the effort to make next year’s race even bigger and better than this year’s!
We will not speculate on reasons or justifications, there are others better suited for that. What we will say is that we had a great time chronicling the 2012 Amazing Race! We always interact with the volunteers and the racers and we are excited by their enthusiasm every time! We are publishing several different galleries this year so we can separate the pics a little bit. It makes it simpler for us and hopefully for you!
Enjoy the recap of the race and if you have never been to an Amazing Race in Loveland, you have to come to the Finish Line Party next year!
