Time to mark the Calendar! May 8th the Loveland Farmer’s Market will ring the bell for the first time in 2012!

They have been anxiously awaiting the return of Spring, that time when they start the yearly ritual of planting the food that will be served on the plates of many Loveland residents. They will lovingly sow and nurture the plants until they deliver them to you. There will be baking and churning, harvesting and butchering just to bring you the best of what you want and need. Here is a list of the hard working vendors for 2012.

This year, make sure you get down to the Farmers’ Market to do your grocery shopping, but enjoy the day in downtown. Tano’s Bistro is bringing back their popular twosday tastings from 4-6 every Tuesday, offering 2 wines and 2 tastes each week. This year, starting in June, Cafe 45140 will be holding a prix fixe every Tuesday evening, where Tami and Joe will peruse the weeks offerings and create a dinner meal from what they pick up at the Market. That should be a very interesting event. Make sure to take advantage of your bike trail as well, whether you bike, skate or simply walk the trail it’s a great way to work up an appetite!
