LPD: Charges Filed in Graffiti Incidents

The Loveland Police Division has filed charges against five individuals for their involvement in the graffiti incidents in Loveland. A total of forty-five counts of criminal mischief have been filed in Hamilton County Juvenile Court and Loveland Magistrate Court.
The investigation began in March of 2012 after the graffiti began showing up on buildings, street signs, electrical boxes, and railroad control boxes throughout Loveland. Officers used surveillance cameras, undercover and directed patrols in attempts to catch the suspects.

2013 Click It or Ticket Campaign

The Loveland Police Division is partnering with the Ohio Department of Public Safety and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to encourage motorists to buckle up. Seat belts are the single most effective piece of safety equipment in a vehicle, yet the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration observational studies show that nearly one out of five Americans still fail to wear a seat belt when driving or riding in a motor vehicle.

Building and Zoning Office Receives High Rating from Insurance Services Office

On May 6, 2013, the City of Loveland’s Building and Zoning Office received among the highest ratings offered to building departments by the Insurance Services Office (ISO) after months of review.
ISO reaffirmed the City of Loveland Class 3 rating for both residential and commercial properties. Mock Car Accident and Investigation Program

The Loveland-Symmes Fire Department and Loveland Police Division will oversee a mock car accident and investigation program organized by Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) for Loveland High School juniors and seniors on Thursday, May 16. The program will begin at 1:00 p.m. in the rear parking lot of Loveland High School.

Loveland Receives Funding for Three Construction Projects

City of Loveland officials announced that the City has received 0% interest loans with twenty-year terms from the Ohio Public Works Commission (OPWC) for two major infrastructure replacement projects. The City also received grant funding from the Municipal Road Funds (MRF) to repave a portion of West Loveland Avenue.
The first OPWC project is a $289,000 water line replacement with up-sized mains and additional fire hydrants on Adams Avenue, Washington Avenue, Jefferson Avenue, and on Twightwee Road between Adams and Washington Avenues. Some road resurfacing is also part of the project …

The Loveland Police Division has filed charges in Clermont County Court against three suspects involved in the shooting offense that occurred in Loveland on February 17, 2013.

Be Safe on St Patrick’s Day!

As St. Patrick’s Day approaches, the Loveland Police Division is reminding drivers not to get behind the wheel if they’ve been drinking. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports over 700 people were killed nationwide in crashes involving a drunk driver during the St. Patrick’s Day holiday from 2006 to 2010.
