Whistle Stop Clay Works is now accepting registrations for Summer Clay Camps.
Co-owner Kay Bolin O’Grady says “clay is an exciting and magical material. Children ages 8 – 13 will have the opportunity to learn the art and craft of clay while having fun and exploring their creativity!”
“We offer patient encouragement and personal guidance”. Classes are small, with a maximum of 12 students per class. Students receive both group and individual instruction at their own level.

The City of Loveland’s 2011 Great American Cleanup day will be held on Saturday, April 16th, starting at 9 a.m. at the LMI Scenic River & Trail Center, 211 Railroad Avenue next to Nisbet Park in historic downtown Loveland. Little Miami, Inc.(LMI) is a local river conservation organization dedicated to the protection of Ohio’s first designated State and National Wild & Scenic River that runs through our downtown. The Little Miami was designated forty-two years ago in 1969.
The Clermont County General Health District, in collaboration with the Goshen Local School District, has received a $25,000 grant to make improvements to the O’Bannon Creek Nature Trail in Goshen Township. Access to the trail is near the Marr Education Center at Cook Farm, located southeast of the High School on Goshen Road; the grant will enable a handicapped portion of the trail to be constructed.

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources has been notified and is investigating the possibility of the existence of a bear. If you see this animal please call 677-7000.

This is a deal… hook, line and sinker! The Hamilton County Park District will be offering a free fishing day at Lake Isabella on Monday, August 30. Anglers may fish from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at no charge.
Visitors are asked to stop by the boathouse to pick up their free fishing ticket before they start to fish. Lake Isabella offers a 28-acre fishing lake with an outdoor fishing pier and a full-service boathouse with tackle and bait specials. Rowboats are also available for rental.
