Vertical Drop Ski & Snowboard had a great event for kids Saturday, bringing in mounds of ice and an incline & rail system to allow them to learn and show off their skills. Ski’s and snowboards were the tool of the trade as kids went down the ramp, jibbin’ the rail and performing tricks and even a few aerial feats.
Several of the kids were overheard saying this was the most fun they’ve had for a while. They all seemed to be having a great time. The event was the brainchild …

The Loveland Police Division will be joining more than 950 Ohio law enforcement agencies August 19 through Labor Day 2011 during the national Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign. This program targets impaired drivers and is a prevention program organized by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) that focuses on combining high-visibility enforcement with heightened public awareness.

The July Ice Cream Social is highlighted with a classic car show for you to browse and pick your favorites. Last year we had nearly 70 cars, with cars and trucks from the 20’s to the 70’s, immaculate restorations to custom hotrods. Registration begins at 1:30 PM, show begins at 3 PM, and trophies will be awarded at 5:30 PM. Enjoy one (or all) of our homemade flavors- vanilla, chocolate, chocolate chip, raspberry, strawberry, peach, butter brickle, and butter pecan.

Some were from as close as Dayton, but we spoke to one woman who hails from Erie PA. We overheard a lot of conversations between first year entrants and those who have participated every year. AllAroundLoveland.com visited Hickory Woods Golf course yesterday to watch the start of the 2011 Paxton’s Grill golf outing. The outing is a fundraiser for Cancer Free Kids and there was a good turnout. After a very wet early morning we made our way out to the course, which is out off of OH48.
