The Loveland Inter Faith Effort (L.I.F.E.) Food Pantry would like to remind all those backyard gardeners, that the food pantry, located at 101 S. Lebanon Road (Prince of Peace Lutheran Church) is accepting your extra produce. If you have too many zucchini, they will take them. Too many tomatoes, they will take them! The July Ice Cream Social is highlighted with a classic car show for you to browse and pick your favorites. Last year we had nearly 70 cars, with cars and trucks from the 20’s to the 70’s, immaculate restorations to custom hotrods. Registration begins at 1:30 PM, show begins at 3 PM, and trophies will be awarded at 5:30 PM. Enjoy one (or all) of our homemade flavors- vanilla, chocolate, chocolate chip, raspberry, strawberry, peach, butter brickle, and butter pecan.

Wee Three Kings Preschool, a ministry of Epiphany United Methodist Church in Loveland, has openings for the 18-24 month Parent’s Day Out classes. Classes meet from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Mon.-Thurs. Parents may choose one or two days a week. This is a great opportunity for your child to learn and play with children his/her own age, while you get some much needed time to yourself. The annual Back to School Fair—presented by The Loveland Initiative and the Loveland Inter-Faith Effort (L.I.F.E.)—will be held Saturday, August 20th from 2:00-4:00 pm at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church’s Parish Life Center (gym). Qualifying families who meet income and residency guidelines are invited to sign-up to take part between July 1st and August 6th during L.I.F.E Food Pantry hours Wednesday 10:00-1:00 / Thursday 4:00-7:00 / Saturday 10:00-1:00. Lent is that time of year when the Catholic Churches fire up the deep fryers and we all get to experience some great food. Lent is a solemn time when Christians think about what our Savior has done for us. Meatless Friday’s are a tradition in the Catholic Church, so the Fish Fry eventually became a staple food and a way to raise funds as well.

The Christmas Season is upon us! We all know what that brings with it, the tree, the presents, but the one thing we share with all around us is the lights of the season. There’s always that family that goes all out to share their excitement with the world, thousands of twinkling lights. Some people do the house, some the trees, some fill the yard with lighted icons of the season. Let’s face it, some do it all!
Excitement is in the air for the 9th annual presentation of “The Living Nativity” to be held on Saturday, December 4th and Sunday, December 5th from 4:30 – 7:30 pm! The Living Nativity is an outside guided walking tour thru 21 stations featuring a dramatic presentation, through drama and song, of the story of Jesus’ birth. After the tour, which lasts around 30 minutes, our guests are invited to visit with the live animals, including donkeys, goats, sheep and alpacas! Hot cocoa & cookies will be served inside!

The LIFE Pantry currently has a need for volunteers that can help clients apply for the Home Heating assistance from the Ohio Benefits Bank. If you have basic computer & internet skills, a laptop and a great caring personality they could use your help! It is imperative to maintain client confidentiality in order to build trust.
