The Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County is partnering with Grailville Retreat & Program Center to discover new and talented poets from Cincinnati during the second annual Poetry in the Garden Contest.

Last April, David Miller of Loveland Magazine & A.S.A.P. ministry of Epiphany UMC sponsored a unique opportunity for local high school poets to shine! That effort was very successful and both the slam participants and those who attended enjoyed it tremendously! That success has led David & A.S.A.P. to expand the idea and create a broader call to high school students with any performing arts skill.
The Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County is participating in National Gaming Day Saturday, Nov. 10, with plenty of events for the whole family at select branches.
Young gamers can interact with a diverse group of peers, share their expertise with others, and develop new strategies for gaming and learning. Activities include video games, board games, card games, trivia, puzzles and much more.

On Sunday, in perfect weather, hundreds of people streamed into Nisbet Park to view the fruits of the labor of artists from all over the Greater Cincinnati area. The 2012 Art Show had 78 booths neatly arranged throughout the park, guiding patrons by an incredible variety of art. Painting, photography, pottery, metalworking, woodworking, it goes on and on. The tradition of the Loveland Art Show is a very strong one, drawing heavily from Loveland’s own artists.
