Local company is changing the face of advertising.

We had a chance to sit down with the CEO of a Loveland company that has blazed a trail in online advertising. The company was one of the first with online daily deals and has staked out a unique position, one of using their services to give back to charitable causes. Halloween Edition progressive party

The Halloween Festivities continued after the teams came back in, submitting all their materials for the judges to pour through. Team Captains stayed behind, while teammates got an early start on the rest of the night! All 5 pubs in town were part of a progressive pub crawl, each highlighting a special brew. The pubs, Cindy’s, Paxton’s, Julian’s, Tano’s and the Works are all part of the halloween celebration, and the employess took part by coming in costume. 2012 Valentine Lady & Card Designs due November 18

Each year in Loveland, we honor a lady who exemplifies the Sweetheart of Ohio and the charm of our little town. The nominations come from you, the public. Please think about the people in your life that would be a good representative for our city and send in the nomination to Jodi. 2011 Fall Festival in Loveland
Some of you might remember the Frog Festival. It used to be the thing to do downtown in the fall. Well, Loveland has been the benefactor of Montgomery’s loss. Heartstone Foundation has been putting on a bike tour in Montgomery for years and it seems they came to Loveland this year, hoping to resurrect the Tour de Loveland since their tour was getting a bit big for Montgomery. Loveland’s Amazing Race distributes 2011 funds

Tuesday night, the team that leads the Loveland Amazing Race each June, led a different type of event. They came together to celebrate the other, more satisfying reason they put on the great race each year. Martin Schickel and Doug Portman emceed a short ceremony, calling up each of the leaders from groups that benefit from the race proceeds. The Amazing Race is a huge event, using over 450 volunteers to put the race on each year. To date the race has given out over $300K for area charities!

Art in the Park Loveland Art Show 2011

The weather threatened to dampen the spirits of the 15th Annual Loveland Art Show participants and visitors, but Art won out! It turned out to be a very pleasant afternoon indeed. It looked like a very nice crowd that meandered through the dozens of tents, full of intriguing and tempting works of art.

We are excited to welcome a new engineering firm to downtown Loveland. Choice One Engineering has opened their office on West Loveland Avenue across from Julian’s Deli. Doing their part to reverse the trend of businesses pulling back in this recession, Vice President Matt Hoying decided expansion was the right thing for Choice One.

Water Emergency in Loveland -Lifted!

Update:
The City Manager for the City of Loveland is pleased to announce that as of 3:15 PM on Friday, September 2nd, the declared Water Emergency is no longer in effect. Crews for the City have repaired the water main break and the system is now in full operation. The City Manager wishes to thank its water users for their cooperation and understanding.
